Widener received a balanced attack in rolling to a 3-0 Commonwealth Conference victory (25-6, 25-10, 25-16) over Albright at Schwartz Center.
The Pride (16-6, 3-1 CC) left no doubt in the first set, notching 10 kills and no errors over 25 attacks for a .400 hitting percentage. The Lady Lions (3-20, 0-3) had only six kills and eight errors over 35 attempts for a -.057 percentage.
Junior Danielle Wetling (Upper Darby, PA) had nine kills and two errors for a .389 hitting percentage for Widener. Junior Devan Green (Monroe Center, IL) posted eight kills with freshman Rachel Lambert (Glenmore, PA) recording seven and no errors over 12 attempts for a .583 percentage.
Freshman Jamie Ballew (Media, PA) dished 23 assists, senior Meghan Fitzsimmons (Lancaster, NY) notched 12 digs and junior Duong Lau (Upper Darby, PA) contributed 10 for the Pride.
Lauren Higgins recorded 13 assists, Cassandra Campbell had 13 digs and Kelly Nicodemus totaled 12 for Albright.
Widener is home Thursday against Scranton, beginning at 7:00 pm.
