Widener had its hands full against its fifth ranked opponent this season, suffering a 4-0 loss at No. 14 William Paterson in Wayne, NJ.

The Pride (6-10) held the Pioneers (13-3) at bay in the first half, yielding only a goal by Amanda Sheehan in the 11th minute.  But the home team got tallies from Christina Ayusa, Meghan Hall and Chelsea Winkelspecht in the second half.

Sophomore Megan Purcell (Perkasie, PA) had six saves for Widener.

Hall also had two assists with Ayusa and Lauren Duensing taking four shots for William Paterson.
