Volleyball Rolls to 3-0 Victory Over Rowan

Widener received yet another balanced attack in notching a 3-0 triumph (25-18, 25-21, 25-20) over Rowan at Schwartz Center.

Junior Devan Green (Monroe Center, IL) had 12 kills and only three errors for a .409 hitting percentage. Junior Danielle Wetling (Upper Darby, PA) notched 10 kills and freshman Jamie Ballew (Media, PA) dished 38 assists for Widener (23-7).

Senior Meghan Fitzsimmons (Lancaster, NY) totaled 18 digs, junior Julieanne Gryn (Springfield, PA) had 17 and senior Ashley Varallo (Havertown, PA) posted 11. Fitzsimmons and Varallo were playing in their final regular-season home match.

Karen Ramirez had 11 kills and 11 digs with Chrissy McKay notching 29 assists and 11 digs for the Profs (12-16). Casey Roselle notched 17 digs and Alexis Louie had 11 and 10 kills.

Widener on Saturday competes at the Eastern Tri-Match against York (PA) at 1:00 pm and the host at 3:00 pm.
