9/7-8/07 -- Widener continued its season this weekend at the Bomber Invitational in Ithaca, NY.

Widener on Friday suffered a 3-0 loss (23-30, 20-30, 23-30) to Brockport before a 3-0 setback (17-30, 18-30, 26-30) to Ithaca. The squad Saturday defeated Hamilton 3-1 (30-25, 29-31, 22-30, 17-30) before a 3-0 victory (30-15, 30-19, 30-23) against Baptist Bible (PA).

Against Brockport senior Kim Brady (Pottstown, PA) had eight kills and sophomore Julieanne Gryn added 12 digs. In the Ithaca match, Brady ended with 11 kills, Gryn had 21 digs and senior Becky Rohrbaugh (Railroad, PA) added 20 assists.

Brady closed the match against Hamilton with 15 kills and sophomore Devan Green (Monroe Center, IL) had 14. Rohrbaugh had 45 assists with senior Rachel Chizmadia (Saline, MI) posting 20 digs.

Brady finished the match against Baptist Bible with 11 kills and Green added 10. Rohrbaugh had 41 assists and Gryn contributed 23 digs.

Widener on Tuesday hosts Ursinus at 7:00 pm.
