9/22/07 -- Widener notched a 3-0 victory (30-20, 30-26, 30-12) over Neumann to close group play at the Blue Jay Classic before suffering a 3-0 loss (30-20, 30-18, 30-19) at Elizabethtown in the third-place match.

Senior Becky Rohrbaugh (Railroad, PA), who was named to the all-tournament team, closed the Elizabethtown match with 22 assists. Sophomore Julieanne Gryn (Springfield, PA) posted 20 digs and junior Ashley Varallo (Havertown, PA) had 12.

Senior Kim Brady (Pottstown, PA) and sophomore Danielle Wetling (Upper Darby, PA) each had eight kills for the Pride (8-10).

Kelly Downs had 11 kills and Stacey Wasserman dished 33 assists for the Blue Jays (12-2).

Widener on Tuesday visits Scranton at 7:00 pm.
