9/15/07 -- Senior Jaime Carr (Norristown, PA) scored twice as Widener continued its best start in school history with a 2-1 triumph at Delaware Valley.
Carr opened the scoring in the 11th minute when she tallied off an assist from sophomore Kelly Eash (Glenolden, PA). The Aggies (5-1) leveled the contest in the 13th minute when Michelle Cernobyl scored off a feed from Danielle Heyne.
But Carr again came through for the Pride (5-0), scoring her 10th goal of the year and 50th career. She got a pass from senior Mallory Meyer (Lansdowne, PA) and tallied in the 19th minute for the final margin.
Carr, a first team All-Commonwealth Conference player last year and second team all-region player, has scored a goal in every game this season. She also has four multi-goal contests.
Sophomore Katie Jensen (Center Valley, PA) made five saves with Meyer and junior Erica Rose (Plymouth Meeting, PA) notching three shots apiece for Widener.
Jackie Deschenes made eight saves with Cernobyl and Bethany Pavlik taking five shots for Delaware Valley.
Widener is home Tuesday to host Philadelphia University at 7:00 pm.
