12/8/07 -- Sophomore Rayne Reber (Pottstown, PA) scored all 22 of her career-high points in the second half, pacing five players in double figures for Widener in an 85-81 victory at King's in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Widener (4-3) outscored King's 55-40 in the second half en route to its fourth victory in five outings. Reber nailed all five of her career-best 3-pointers in that span for the Pride, who shot 68 percent (17-of-25) from the floor after intermission and 7-of-11 from beyond the arc.
Reber tied her career best of nine rebounds, also accomplished January 24 against Elizabethtown and last Saturday at Scranton. This helped Widener enjoy a 40-25 edge, including 19-14 in the second half.
Junior Barbara Fleming (Philadelphia, PA) had 18 points and four 3-pointers, sophomore Becky Tyler (Wynnewood, PA) posted 14 points and nine rebounds, Megan Sipple (Boothwyn, PA) scored 12 points and fellow junior Beth Dessart Mager (Newtown Square, PA) added 10 points.
Widener shot a season-best 53 percent (27-of-51) from the floor and tied a season high with 11 three-pointers (11-of-19).
Jessica Paettie came off the bench to score 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting with five 3-pointers for the Monarchs (5-4). Kaitlyn Fiorino poured in 25 points on 9-of-13 shooting, Jenna Palumbo netted 12 points and Lauren Kendra added 10 rebounds.
Widener continues its eight-game road trip Wednesday at Rosemont, beginning at 7:00 pm.
