10/20/07 -- Widener notched a 3-1 victory (30-27, 30-14, 14-30, 30-17) victory over Swarthmore before a 3-1 loss (27-30, 30-23, 25-30, 17-30) to FDU-Florham in its home tri-match at Schwartz Center.

Against Swarthmore, senior Kim Brady (Pottstown, PA) had 15 kills and just four errors over 33 attacks for a .333 hitting percentage. Senior Becky Rohrbaugh (Railroad, PA) dished 41 assists and sophomore Julieanne Gryn (Springfield, PA) had 19 digs. Seniors Rachel Chizmadia (Saline, MI) and Samantha Pilson (Upperco, MD) had 10 digs apiece.

In the FDU match, sophomore Devan Green (Monroe Center, IL) had 14 kills and only one error over 38 attacks for a .342 hitting percentage. Brady contributed 13 kills with Rohrbaugh adding 48 assists and 11 digs.

Gryn posted 35 digs with Chizmadia and Pilson notching 13 apiece for Widener (13-16).

FDU (26-9) swept its two matches, including a 3-0 victory over Swarthmore (9-16).

Widener plays its final Commonwealth Conference match of the season next Wednesday at Lebanon Valley, beginning at 7:00 pm.
