10/12/07 -- Widener was dealt its second straight loss with a 4-0 setback to Dickinson at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.
The Red Devils (11-1-2) scored first in the 13th minute when Thomas Parkinson booted in an eight-yard shot off a feed from Cooper Morris. It was Parkinson's team-leading eighth goal of the season.
Dickinson doubled its lead in the 55th minute when Magen Mintz buried a penalty shot. Matthew Wood netted his first goal of the season in the 84th minute and Dale Rodman tallied his third of the year five minutes later.
Wood closed with six shots and Rodrigo Barboza had three saves for the Red Devils, who ended with a 14-9 shots advantage.
Freshman Brian James (Perkasie, PA), the reigning Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week, had three shots and sophomore Marty Squicciarini (Lansdale, PA) closed with three saves for the Pride (7-7).
Widener is home Tuesday against second-ranked Messiah as part of a doubleheader with the women's team. The women's match begins at 4:00 pm, followed by the men's contest at 7:00 pm.
