Widener University Athletics

Tom Phillips is in his eighth year as an assistant coach for Widener. Phillips served as an assistant coach at Sun Valley High School from 2010-11 and also was an assistant JV coach for the Vanguards from 2003-09. He also has been an assistant coach with the Delco Diamonds since 2004 and both a head coach and assistant with the Aston Athletic Association since 2002. Phillips’ daughter, Meg, competed for the Pride from 2008-11 and served two years as Widener’s graduate assistant sports information director from 2011-13. She was named first team All-Commonwealth Conference as well as second team All-ECAC South Region in 2011.
