A former All-Region honoree, Katie Sterling enters he third season on Widener's staff.
In an unparalleled four year career for the Pride, Sterling hit .361 with 18 homers and 131 RBI. As a senior, she garnered All-Region accolades with a .429 average, four homers, and 33 driven in. She also picked up All-Region honors as a sophomore when she raked at a .376 clip with six homers, 44 RBI, 12 doubles, and stole eight bases, leading Widener to its only NCAA tournament appearance.Â
In the classroom, Sterling was also accomplished, earning CoSIDA Academic All-District, Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area, and Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete recognition.Â
Sterling earned her bachelors in psychology from Widener in 2017 and is currently in her final year of physical therapy school at the institution.Â
