Widener University Athletics

Jackie Korang is in her 5th year as an assistant coach with the Widener University softball team this spring. She is responsible for assisting Fred Dohrmann with all aspects of the program with an emphasis on the training and development of the pitching staff.
 
Korang was a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter for the Pride as a pitcher and third baseman between 2011 and 2014. She batted .294 with 78 hits, including 24 for extra bases, and 37 runs batted in while also winning 19 games and fanning 73 in the circle over the course of her career. She most notably registered a 12-8 record and a 2.61 earned run average as a pitcher in 2012 and a .330 batting average with 14 RBI in 2013 before being elected to serve as a captain during her senior campaign.
 
A native of Delran, N.J., Korang graduated from Widener with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2014 and joined the staff the following year. She now works full time as a title insurance salesperson at Core Title in NJ & PA.
