Brian Campbell

Brian Campbell, a former standout player for the Pride, is in his fifth season as an assistant coach for his alma mater. Campbell was a key member of the squad as a pitcher and a shortstop from 2004-07, being named first team All-Commonwealth Conference in 2006 and 2007. As a senior in 2007, Campbell led the league with a 1.37 ERA and was third with 23 stolen bases. In 2006, he closed fourth in the league with a .401 batting average and was picked to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team.

His playing career did not end in Chester as he competed for three seasons with the Lincoln Saltdogs of the American Association. Campbell also competed for the Veracruz Winter League and was a 2007 New York State League All-Star. He also was a three-time member of the Middle Atlantic Conference Academic Honor Roll. Campbell graduated Widener in 2007 with a degree in Business Management.
