Anthony Monzo

Entering his second year with the Pride, Coach Monzo brings a wealth of experience as a player and coach, combined with a passion for player development, to the Widener University baseball program.

From 2017 to 2023, he served as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Ridley High School in Folsom, PA. During his tenure, he guided the Raiders to six consecutive playoff appearances, amassing over 70 wins and establishing the program as a consistent competitor in the region.

Coach Monzo also served as the Delaware County Carpenter Cup Head Coach from 2019 to 2023, after previously being an assistant coach in the program. He further demonstrated his leadership in the sport as the PIAA 6A Chair for District One from 2019 to 2023 and as the Barrett Game Head Coach in both 2022 and 2023. Beyond high school baseball, he coached with Uncommon Baseball during the 2020 and 2021 travel seasons and is a Rapsodo Certified Hitting Instructor.

As a player, Coach Monzo attended Immaculata University from 2010 to 2014, where he was a member of the baseball team. He excelled both on the field and in the classroom, earning CSAC All-Academic Team honors, where he graduated with a degree in Secondary Education.

Known for his emphasis on fundamentals, teamwork, and competitive spirit, Coach Monzo is dedicated to helping student-athletes reach their full potential and contributing to the continued success of the Widener baseball program.
