HAVERFORD, Pa. - Widener rebounded from a game one setback as Katelyn Tong's bat led the way in a strong game two victory.
Widener Softball moves to 6-14 on the season and remains 1-5 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME ONE
Haverford struck early in the bottom of the first inning to score four runs and take a 4-0 lead.
The Fords added another run in the second, using a sacrifice bunt and an RBI groundout to extend the lead to 5-0.
Widener threatened in the third inning as Flavin and Shuler drew walks, but the Pride were unable to bring a run across.
Haverford continued to add on in the third with an RBI single, making it 6-0.
In the fourth, the Fords tacked on another run with a sacrifice fly to push the lead to 7-0.
Haverford added an insurance run in the fifth on an RBI single, extending the lead to 8-0.
Widener was unable to generate offense, as the Pride were held hitless and scoreless in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME TWO
Widener struck early in the first inning, using RBI singles from Clymer and Izzie Baron to take a 2-0 lead.
Haverford answered with a run in the bottom half, but the Pride maintained control through several scoreless innings.
Widener broke the game open in the fifth, scoring four runs. Liza Flavin brought in a run, Tong delivered a two-run double, and Clymer added another RBI to extend the lead to 6-1.
Haverford plated a run in the sixth, but Widener responded again in the seventh as Tong launched a solo home run to push the lead to 7-2.
The Pride held strong defensively in the final inning to secure the win and split the doubleheader.
