HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
  • After a quiet first inning from both offenses, Widener got on the board first in the second. After walks from Sean Burke and Brendan Raven, Myles Calderbank drove in a run with a double to left field. Washington College answered in the bottom half of the inning, putting up a three spot with a triple, a sacrifice fly, and a home run.

  • After the second, both offenses went silent once again. Widener threatened in the third putting runners on second and third but were unable to get one home. Widener once again had chances in the sixth and the seventh inning but were unable to get that big hit to drive in a run and would ultimately lose game one by a final score of 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 2
  • The Widener offense wasted no time getting going in game two. After Ryan Bauerle started the game with a single, Kevin Bukowski hammered an opposite field two run home run. Washington College answered with two runs of their own in the bottom of the first after an RBI single and a fielder's choice. The Widener offense stayed hot in the second, as Braedyn Clinton added on another with an RBI double. JP DiGuiseppe drove in another with a sacrifice fly followed by an RBI double from Bukowski.

  • The Widener offense continued to add on throughout the remainder of the game, never letting Washington College gain any momentum. In the fourth, Ryan Bauerle drove in one with an RBI double followed by a DiGuiseppe RBI single. In the eight, Clinton made the score 8-3 following an RBI single of his own. Kevin Bukowski homered for the second time in the sixth, this time going dead center.
