Claire Lynch and
Madison Warlow lead a third quarter charge to down Swarthmore in the season opener for the third ever win in program history.
The 12-11 final opens the season 1-0 for the Pride.

- Claire Lynch tied her career high five goals while shooting seven times.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pride opened the season with a Mantz goal to take a 1-0 lead. With 9:10, Lynch picked up her first goal off a free position shot to tie the game at two. Lynch's second free position shot found the back of the cage to answer a Garnet goal. Gianna Scaliti won the preceding draw before turnovers occurred for both sides. Lynch's shot went high before Scaliti tied the game at four. The period ended with a 5-4 Swarthmore score.
- A struggle for the Pride began to happen in the second as the Garnet took a 4-0 run to make the score 9-4 with 7:08 left. Regan Polacek picked up a huge save to give the Pride a good clear and an Alyssa Ruggiero goal. Two blocked Garnet shots ended the period with a score of 9-5 Swarthmore.
- Warlow took over in the cage to open half. Jarliah Ferko would won the draw to give Ruggiero her second of the game. Warlow would see back-to-back saves to give Lynch her third of the game. The comeback began as Warlow made another back-to-back save. Maddie Stehman snagged a caused turnover for a fastbreak Ferko goal with 2:08 left. A late goal from Lynch would see a flying goal to cut the score to 10-9 with 15 minutes to play.
- Momentum swung with Warlow snagging another save to give Mantz her second of the game. Back-to-back goals from the Pride would happen with Mantz and Lynch adding to their stat lines. A huge free position save with 1:20 left from Warlow and with under one another helped seal the game. A final timeout would run down the clock for a 11-10 season opener win.
