HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Pride struck first with a Trowbridge draw control and a Lynch goal. Edwards, Jessica Mantz, and Lynch all saw back-to-back caused turnovers on Eagles' possessions before a good Pride clear and a Ruggiero from Alex Krohn goal. Less than a minute later, Mingioni scored an unassisted goal for her 30th of the season. Cox forced another turnover at 2:04 before Mantz picked up her first of the game to make it 6-0. Jarliah Ferko's free-position shot found the back of the cage and Edwards and Mingioni closed out the first to head to the second up 9-0.
  • Ferko opened the second with a draw control to give the Pride possession. Mantz saw a goal to continue the scoring. Trowbridge would win back-to-back draw controls to inch closer to the Widener record as Ava Leporati and Mantz scored. The Pride defense stood up and forced a clock violation giving Lynch an attacking piece and a goal from Mingioni at 7:34. At 5:37, Polacek saw the only save of the game for the Blue and Gold.
