ANNVILLE, Pa. – A short meet right after a week in sunny Florida shows eight first places from Widener Women's Swimming against Lebanon Valley.
The 128-59 record moves the Pride to .500 on the season for a 4-4 overall record and a 4-1 MAC record.
A showing from the Pride's C relay of
Tyla Block,
Kaitlyn Beden,
Olivia Downs, and
Margaret Eckenroth captured the first first place of the meet with a 2:23.63 in the 200-meter medley relay.
Sally Meyers took first in the 800-meter with a 10:04.48 as the only competitior.
Gabby DiGiovanni's 200-meter free led with a 2:31.53 while Eckenroth took third in a 2:39.10.
Caroline Anderson and
Olivia Giambalvo would tie for third in the 50-meter free with a 30.22.
A dominating showing from the Pride showed a 1-2-3 finish in the 200-meter individual medley.
Megan Shallow led with a 2:47.66.
Emily Thompson took second with a 2:55.87 and Patricia McDonald took third in a 3:04.70.
The 100-meter butterfly showed
Lauren Kalsbeek capturing first in a 1:14.81.
Anna Durboraw took third in a 1:22.74.
Olivia Barclay led a 2-3-4 placing in the 100-meter freestyle with a 1:09.21.
Hailey Webster (1:09.59) and
Kaitlyn Fahy (1:11.06) followed.
Anderson's second swim of the day showed a first in the 100-meter backstroke with a 1:16.50 to win by three seconds.
The 400-meter race would be led by Giambalvo who clocked in a first and a 5:01.46.
Jenna Angelucci took second with a 5:09.43 and
Jillian Smith took third with a 5:15.57.
The final individual event showed a 1-2 race between Block and Thompson in the 100-meter breaststroke. Block took first with a 1:26.46 to win by a second over Thompson who finished in a 1:27.30.
