- Stevenson got on the board in the second inning with a solo homerun, sandwiched in between striking out the side.
- Widener got on the board in the fourth as the Pride took advantage of Mustangs' defensive miscues. With two outs, Glenn Seymour walked and moved to second on a wild pitch. Mike Mollenhauer came up next and lifted a fly ball to right that looked set to end the inning, but was dropped by the fielder allowing Seymour to score and tie the game at 1-1. Stevenson followed with an unearned run of its own in the fifth to retake the edge and picked up an insurance tally in the seventh.
- Offensively, Elfreth had two of the three Widener hits in the contest.
- Lafferty took the hard luck loss, going the distance allowing just two earned runs and striking out seven. Â

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME TWO (Widener 2, Stevenson 1)

- The next inning, Widener added to the lead, as Elfreth doubled with one out and came in to score one batter later on a fielding error by the shortstop.
- Stevenson got a run back in the fifth on a pair of hits and squeeze bunt.
- Jones was strong on the mound, allowing just the one run on three hits, striking out four in six innings.
