Edith R. Dixon Field

Edith R. Dixon Field is home to our field hockey and women's lacrosse squads. Equipped with artificial turf, lights, and a new scoreboard, the field is easily accessible for fans and students. Opened in 2005, the field also serves as home for our intramural teams. The field is located behind Schwartz Center on the opposite side of the creek.

Widener installed new turf during the summer of 2026. The newly installed field showcased the updated Widener "W" in royal and "WIDENER" across the ends in white. The first NCAA game played on the newly renovated field was Field Hockey vs Elizabethtown on Wednesday, September 2 at 7 p.m. and was the season and home opener of 2026.
