Horvath helped the softball team notch a perfect 6-0 ledger this past week. In the circle, the utility player won all three of her starts, posted an 0.47 earned run average, recorded nine strikeouts and held opponents to a .172 batting average in over 15 innings of work. The senior's best performance came in a three-hit shutout of Stevenson in which she allowed just three singles.
In addition, Horvath batted .467 by going 7-for-15 to spark the offense from the leadoff spot. She also drove in four runs, stole 10 bases and did not commit an error from left field or the circle.
Thanks in large part to Horvath's efforts, the softball team ended the weekend on an eight-game winning streak.
