Donovan Davis threw a gem on the mound to help the baseball team earn an 8-1 win over Wilkes in Florida this past week. The senior captain was perfect through seven and two-thirds innings until surrendering a pinch-hit single in the eighth frame. Davis, who improved his record to 2-0 this season with the victory, also registered a career-high nine strikeouts while not issuing a walk in eight innings of work.
