Aaron Green was named the 2017 David B. Eavenson Award winner as the MAC Men's Swimmer of the Year after scoring 60 individual points at the league's championship meet over the weekend. He won a total of six gold medals, which included winning the 100 free, 100 fly and 100 back as well as swimming a leg on the 400 medley, 200 free and 400 free relay squads.

Furthermore, Green was a part of three championship meet relay records and reset the 100 free standard at the event. His time of 45.33 seconds in the 100 free was also an NCAA provisional mark.
