Sam Smith had one of his best games as a collegian in the men's basketball team's non-conference clash with the United States Merchant Marine Academy over the weekend. The junior scored a career-high 22 points by most notably drilling six shots from beyond the arc.

Through 10 games, Smith is averaging 9.6 points and leads the team in 3-point field goals (14). He is also putting up career numbers in every statistical category as one of four players who have started every contest.
