Ernie Pitone captured his third straight individual title at the MAC Championships over the weekend by navigating an 8,000-meter course in 25:31.8. He crossed the line more than 37 seconds faster than the rest of the field, and his performance helped the Pride win their fourth straight team crown at the league's annual postseason event.

Pitone, who was the conference's rookie of the year in 2013, also concluded his career at the conference championship by earning All-MAC First Team laurels four times.
