Ernie Pitone helped men's cross country place 12th among 43 scoring teams while running against many of the nation's best programs in the men's championship race at the Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle.

The senior placed second individually among 383 runners by navigating a 7.8k course in 23:27.6. He only finished behind the top runner from SUNY Geneseo, which won the event and is currently the #1-ranked team in the country in the latest USTFCCCA poll.
