Widener University Athletics

Sophomore Josiah Fischer batted .625 (5-for-8) last week with five hits, two doubles a triple and four RBI as Widener swept a doubleheader from Marywood.  Fischer's RBI double in a five-run fourth inning helped the Pride take control of game one.  He drew a bases-loaded walk and laced an RBI triple in the nightcap, helping Widener move to 4-1-1 in its last six outings.  Fischer also was named Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week.
