He was named the MAC Field Athlete of the Year. Recla was victorious in the discus throw and earned a silver medal in the shot put. The senior recorded a best throw of 47.59 meters (156'-2") in the discus throw. He notched a best throw of 15.5 meters (52'-00") in the shot put. On Friday, he earned a sixth place finish in the hammer with a throw of 46.97 meters (154'-01").
