The sophomore earned a 12th place finish in the Olympic Development 5,000 meter race at the Penn Relays on Thursday. Pitone crossed the finish line with a time of 14:44.67, the fourth fastest time in Widener history. He was the first Division III athlete to cross the finish line. The event featured several runners from running and track clubs across the country, as well as athletes from all three levels of the NCAA.
