Sophomore Ernie Pitone closed eighth at the prestigious Paul Short Invitational in 25:02, defeating countless Division I foes, and helped the squad end the meet fourth. Widener in the process defeated 11 Division I schools and two nationally ranked Division III. Pitone also was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
