Freshman Alexis Schengrund went 2-1 last week for the Pride. She got things rolling Monday against Eastern, striking out nine over seven innings and allowing just two runs and four hits. Schengrund then had six strikeouts over five innings, yielding just one run Thursday in game one at Albright. She also was named Commonwealth Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.
