Widener University Athletics

Senior Kevin Culbert came within one out of a no-hitter, striking out nine and yielding just one run and one hit over seven innings in Widener's 4-1 victory Sunday over Scranton.  Culbert allowed Michael Amaturo to fight off an inside pitch in the seventh to break up his bid.  The Royals run in the fourth came on two walks, a hit batter and a fielder's choice.
