Bookmark and Share

Widener senior nose guard James Woodley (Pittsgrove, NJ) has been invited to participate in the East Preps Football Combine on February 26 in Cherry Hill, NJ.

The combine is an invitation only event in which many agents and scouts attend.  Participants receive a combine DVD of their performance as well as a profile on eastpreps.com that will be sent to over 200 pro contacts, including all National Football League personnel.

It was another standout campaign for Woodley, who also was tabbed first team All-Middle Atlantic Conference a third straight year and All-East Region by D3Football.com.  A four-year starter who constantly drew double teams, Woodley ended tied for fourth in the conference with 14.5 tackles for a loss, tied for eighth with 5.5 sacks and tied for 23rd with 5.7 tackles per game.

No game this year stood out more than October 31 against Lebanon Valley, in which he had 19 tackles to tie for the third most in school history.  He also closed with 14 solo tackles, 1.5 sacks and five tackles for a loss.

Woodley on December 5 took part in the D-III Football Senior Classic in Salem, VA.  Representatives from the National Football League, Canadian Football League and United Football League attended.
