Sophomore Dennis Conn (Morton, PA) won the men's 800 meter run by breaking the school record and senior Nikita Halteman (Hatfield, PA) captured the women's shot put at the Lions Last Chance meet in Ewing, NJ.
Conn, who will be competing in the NCAA Championships this weekend in Berea, OH, finished in 1:51.49 and sophomore Michael Garrity (Briarcliffe, PA) closed in 2:02.90.
Junior Brad Moran (Neshanic Station, NJ) ended fourth in the shot put with a throw of 14.49 meters and sophomore Eric Davis (Ewing, NJ) finished fifth at 14.45 meters. Junior Jacob Munick (Narberth, PA) ended fifth in both the discus and hammer with throws of 43.28 and 50.88 meters, respectively. Sophomore Robert Dowd (Doylestown, PA) closed eighth in the javelin with a throw of 51.66 meters.
Halteman took the shot put with a throw of 12.25 meters. She also finished second in the discus at 38.44 meters and sixth in the hammer at 44.14 meters. Freshman Rebecca Sewell (Hackettstown, NJ) ended fourth in the shot put at 9.83 meters and sixth in the discus at 25.10 meters.
