Track and Field Has Impressive Showing at Haverford Mid-Week

Widener saw several of its athletes post solid finishes at the Haverford Mid-Week in Haverford, PA.

 

Freshman Ryan Chance (Glassboro, NJ), the reigning Middle Atlantic Conference Indoor Rookie of the Year, was first in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.14 seconds and second in the long jump at 1.78 meters.

 

Freshman Ben Petrak (Chadds Ford, PA) took first in the 100-meter dash in 11.53 seconds and was third in the 200-meter dash at 23.87 seconds.  Freshman Austin Regalbuto (Clayton, NJ) grabbed first in the long jump at 6.35 meters and third in the 100-meter dash at 11.65 meters.

 

Senior Bernard Innocent (Fairfax, VA) closed first in the 200-meter dash in 22.47 seconds and the men's 4x100-meter relay team won in 44.62 seconds.

 

Freshman Emily Conover (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ) captured the women's 1500-meter run in 5:38.48.

 

Widener will compete at the Penn Relays on Thursday and Friday as well as the Lions' Invitational on Saturday.
